About the Event
Our wheelchair basketball team are the current B Grade National Champs and the team is keen to see some new faces at training next season.
Wheelchair basketball is a sport which caters to a massive range of disabilities. Pretty much every disability is classifiable so we encourage any Northlander living with a physical disability to come forward, ask questions and see if you like it!
We need more people living with a physical disability to get involved so don't hesitate and come along to see what it's all about, we are at Kensington Stadium every Tuesday from 5:45pm. Parafed Northland has wheelchairs for new players, so really it's just a case of getting bums in those seats!
Sport is such a powerful vehicle for young and old to socialise and learn about themselves, for someone who lives with a physical disability there is no difference. At Parafed Northland we are all about inclusive sport and recreation opportunities, so we want to see people living with physical disabilities enjoying sport the same as anyone else.
