Wheelchair Turbo Touch

Does your school want to get involved?

Touch New Zealand and Parafed Northland would like to invite your school to be a part of our Wheelchair Turbo Touch.

The aim of this project is to introduce Wheelchair sport into the mainstream environment in schools and to raise awareness of the disability sports that are available to any student in Northland with a physical disability. This also includes ways for better inclusion for your disabled students in your school PE and sports program.

This project will involve the following:

·  One school day of practical experience of Wheelchair Turbo Touch for a duration that best suits your school or students.

· Links for your students with a physical disability into sport and recreation and funding avenues.

· Up-skill and train teachers/ sports leaders in the rules of Wheelchair and standard Turbo Touch.

· Creating opportunity for mainstream students to try disability sport.

If your school is interested in being a part of this project for 2019, please let us know and we will organise a specific plan for your school or fill out the sign up for below.
